Solved 3CX SBC

Hi All,

Hosted 3CX installation that was originally setup with only 2 extensions but has now grown to 5. Appear to be having some issues with call quality now which I'm assuming is down to the fact the phones were setup in STUN. The obvious solution will be to install SBC server on the site.

Question is, is there a way to install the SBC server without having to install all the phones again?

Hi @Scott EIT,

Configuring STUN for connecting IP Phones is not supported in 3CX hosted systems nor recommended.

Unfortunately, there is no way to omit the configuration as the SBC uses a different provisioning method.

just shipping in,

setup the SBC in the office, once done just go to each phone in the 3CX Management console, change the provisioning method to SBC and enter the local IP of the SBC in your office. Press save and reboot the phone. Should pick up the config change within minutes!
