Hi,

Yesterday, our Cisco Call Manager self signed certificates expired and we have to "re-generate" them. Today, come to find out, calls into our main line ( which route into a 3CX CFD application ) are failing when a customer selects a menu option which routes the call back over to Cisco Call Manager.

I've reset the Call Manager SIP trunk to 3CX. We are not running SRTP. Does anyone have any ideas why calls from 3CX to Call Manager would be failing after the Call Manager cert regeneration?

TIA,

Amir

First step would be to look at the 3CX activity logs (with verbose on). Certificates shouldn't matter unless the call manager is forcing TLS or SRTP for some reason after regenerating the certificate.

Thank you. You are always very helpful.

So - there are several reasons why I'm abandoning Cisco IPT in favor of 3CX. Complexity is right at the top of that list.

When the Cisco reseller installed all of the IPT applications ( 2 @ CUCM, 2 @ CUC, 2 @ CIMP, 2 @ CER and 2 @ UCCX ) they used self signed certs and after 5 years - they expired yesterday.

After the PAINFUL process of following the usual 25 page document to re-generate the self signed certs, we had missed our UCCX VMs and after a couple of service restarts on CUCM and a reboot of both the UCCX PUB and SUB, all is working.

I cannot wait to fully retire out Cisco IPT environment!

Yeah, I hate when you forget to reboot all 10 VMs :)

Glad you got it sorted out.

Thanks man. For all new 3CX customers, you need to check out COBALTIT and their responsiveness on the forums and consider them as your designated 3CX reseller. BTW, they are not our 3CX reseller at this time. That could change upon our renewal next year.
