3CX Softapp - Android TV Optimisation

Hi Guys, Ladies.

As we know Smart TV's that are powered by Google's Android operating system has in-built internet connectivity and gives clients access to the 3CX softapps available from Google Play Store, making it a great choice for video conferencing in an office environment without the need for mini PC's or Vendor based VC solutions.

Although there are many different distributions running from different Brands, like Roku, Tizen, WebOS, or Android TV OS, the 3CX Softapp is not very optimised for use with a remote control.It would be great selling point for businesses if the 3CX softapp would be optimized for the Android TV OS distributions.

Other conferencing apps that are currently used with Android Smart TV's include:

• Zoom Conferencing is currently exclusive to Sony Bravia TV sets (Zoom for Home TV),
• Facebook Portal TV
• Cisco Webex Meetings,
• GoToMeeting
• Google Hangouts Meet
• Microsoft Teams (with prerequisites)

In General, has anyone had good experience with conferencing apps on a Android TV's?

Hey Dana, most businesses are using a computer connected to their screens or there is always the possibility to screencast your mobile screen to your TV. Therefore the TV itself doesn't need to have the application installed. You can always post in the idea forum.
