Hello,

Softphone pops up and users can't type anymore and if they hit enter it answers the call.

Checked settings and can see any preferences for answering options on the client itself

Hi Andy,

Check the focus option under Advanced Settings > Behavior

Is there anyway to do this on the Browser Plugin or is that the same thing?

Same problem however I can't find that menu.

yes, my users are using a mix of plugin and client also and I can't see this option on the plugin, settings there are very limited.

I think the majority of users are finding the issue are using the plugin.

When you said softclient, did you mean the Chrome Extension for the 3CX Webclient?

I'm personally using windows client and with this option ticked I face the same issue,
Earlier today I was typing away, hit enter and answered a call.

Some of my users are using plugin however and I don't see any options for answering behaviour or focus.

Hi Andy,

1.) In the windows client, it's the focus option i mentioned above.

With it disabled, the client should not pop up and take focus.
- If open, it will ring in the background
- If closed to system tray, it will only show a small out out of focus notification like so

With it enabled,
- If open it will jump to the front and take focus away from what you are doing (Enter will answer call)
- If closed to system tray, it will show the small pop up as above, without taking away focus

2). In the Chrome Extension whether open or closed, the extension will pop up and take focus immediately.

If this is causing problems, the users have the choice of using the Webclient alone (without the Chrome Extension) and this will not steal focus. It will just ring in the background, and you will get a notification popup on the side of their screen

Hope this helps clear things up a bit

thanks, John, I will see how receptive people are to the client.

I'll try the Windows Client.

It's a major problem on the Chrome Extension as it causes calls to be answered accidently.
