3CX Startup Pro Trial - Hosted

Hi

We are using a hosted trial version of the Startup Pro package which works really well, however we have a couple of questions:

• Is it possible to remove the background music from the Digital Receptionist message, as presumably this has been automatically added by the system?
• In the Digital Receptionist, is it possible to transfer calls to an external number?

I wasn't sure if these were features that would be available in one of the other (paid) versions, but if someone could clarify that would be much appreciated.

Hi Doug,

1. Do you mean the music-on-hold after you select an option and are now waiting for someone to answer the phone?

2. No, you cannot connect it to an external number directly. You can forward to an unregistered extension, which has forwards to an external number if you wish.

1. No, it's not the music on-hold - we have recorded a message for the auto attendant but when we dial in, it has very distracting music added to it
2. That's fine, we'll be happy to do it that way

As it is, I've contacted a few suppliers about having a paid-for hosted solution with them which should offer us more configurability, etc.

StartUP is limited in terms of customization at the moment as it is still under heavy development. As you noticed, maybe a dedicated instance will give you the flexibility you need.
