3CX support just one sip trunk - Note from Local ITSP here

Good afternoon sirs,

I got a note from my SIP Provider (ITSP - VIVO/Telefonica), and in this note, it says that in the 3CX we can only have a single trunk from VIVO in the PABX. It is not possible to add other trunks.
I found this note on the misleading.I can have as many trunks as I want with different carriers.I found this note biased.

Does anybody knows If there any qty limitation of SIP trunks in 3CX?

I'm a little confused because you said you can have as many trunks as you want with other carriers (presumably with 3CX). If so, then you are aware there if there is a limit, you haven't hit it before. The note is absolutely biased, and that bias is to the interaction with VIVO and 3CX. It's clearly a limitation of their platform.

First, make sure no one is mixing the words "trunk" and "channel" as I've seen that before...order "3 trunks each with 2 channels" and what you set up is "1 trunk with 6 channels" (6 calls) which is more normal.

I have seen a case where if the SIP company doesn't differentiate the connections properly they have trouble figuring out if the call from IP x.x.x.x:5060 is from trunk1 or trunk2. So that might be what they mean.

Why do you need more than one trunk from the same company?
There are a lot of branch offices, and each of them have different DID. So, we have requested portability of the DID for one ITSP.
Nowadays we have 2x SIP trunks with different ITSP as continue services, the next step is high availability.

There are no qty limitations in 3CX regarding the amount of trunks you can have but there is a limitation when it comes to Vivo that derives from the way they deliver the trunks and what you need to do to set it up.
