Hello,

Since October 2019 we are using 3CX as telephone solution in our company. We use the lastest version of 3CX Enterprise on our 3CX server. As phones we use Gigaset SL750H Pro connected to IP based DECT stations from Gigaset. On the computers of the employees there is the 3CX client installed (16.0.1.81). For TAPI integration the plugins are installed (15.0.943.724).

When I start the ERP/CRM software (TopM Net7) it prompts to select the line (extension) I want to use. Once the ERP/CRM is started I can do outgoing calls by clicking a phone number in the CRM/ERP software. My telephone starts to ring (MakeCall) and when I take this call it starts to dial. This works well.

The problems start when I try to receive calls in the ERP/CRM software. Incoming calls are only displayed by the 3CX client, but not by the ERP/CRM software. How can the incoing calls be displayed and answered in the ERP/CRM software?

Thank you!

Kind regards

Your CRM/ERP would need to implement the Call Control API, which is no longer documented.

Short answer: no can't do.

Long answer: wait a bit and switch to the new U4 Chrome Extension once released (assuming your ERP is web-based)

That being said, the 3CX Client should popup for the incoming call.

Hello Frederick,

Thank you for your message. TopM Net7 is not a web based system. It is proprietary software for Windows.

The Call Control API will be discontinued, if I understand you correctly?

The 3CX client pops up, but we want to integrate the phone calls into our CRM/ERP software. It is a little bit difficult to get the address data out of the CRM/ERP to get it into the 3CX software.

Kind regards

Unfortunately, you won't be able to do that unless someone does the integration, if even possible.

The API is not discontinued, just undocumented so people don't mess with it. I'm pretty sure a more secure API will exist sometime in the future, but for now, it's not on the roadmap.

The 3CX TAPI Service Provider is only a partial implementation of TAPI, and will not let you do what you need. Only outbound calls will work fine, and you can also drop an established call. But you can't answer an inbound call, so unfortunately what you need is not possible.
