3cx - Teams Integration

Hello,

Just a post about a feature that I think would be massivley helpfull.

Being able to integrate 3cx with Teams without direct routing would be amazing. There are so many issues with the direct routing which makes it a bit difficult to use for a large number of users or call.

If there was just a "3cx Application" we could download and open within Teams, that would be amazing. Bassicly just the webclient but within the Teams app.

Most of our clients want the phone system they purchase to be within Teams. Teams Voice is then the best option but comes with so many downsides and we finally agree on 3cx (As this is the superior product) But if we could get this within their Teams like they wanted too, it would be amazing.

what are these many issues you speak of? I havent really seen anyone complain about the Teams integration on the forum.

You could look at making a custom app and use the 3CX PWA in it for Teams.

But, i think if you're going to use the 3CX app within Teams then you might as well use it as it's own app - personally I dont see any benefit of embedding the 3CX app in to Teams.

Its not more of issues, but missing features or little annoying things.

Like for example you cant access the 3cx contact book, with it embedded in Teams you could. Another issue is call handling. This may be an issue on how I have set this up in the past, but if you recieve a call and need to tranfer it, Teams cannot see users / extnetions / contacts within 3cx. This means you have to transfer to actual phone number instead. I know you can transfer internally by typing the name of the person and then making sure you select "Office Phone" rather then a Teams call, it just leaves room for error.

I can't remember but I also think there was an issue regarding where the voicemails were going.

And lastley the reception / panel view is not avalible within teams. But it would be if it was embedded.

The only and by far the best integration is the Teams Direct Routing Integration. We do not plan to embed anything in the Teams client and its also not possible or certainly not easy to do....
