The following error occurred when trying to send an email with subject ‘New Voicemail from .........535: 5.7.0 Denied

What SMTP gateway are you using?

Go to system, email and test using your own email if you recieve the SMTP test email from 3cx

When i use a custom email like Gmail, I will get the notification, but once I switch back to 3cx smtp, I get the error.

Please make sure that your FQDN IP and external IP are the same and try again.

Yes i have confirmed that. The FQDN and External IP are the same.

Try refreshing the licence, it sometimes helps.

The problem occurs when the IP for the FQDN isn't the same as the one 3cx uses to access the internet, or when the 3cx time is incorrect. Is NTP installed?

Hi Koech

can you supply some more information:

Is the server Linux or Windows?
Is the server a VPS on the internet, local VPS, Bare metal machine?
Does 3CX Server use 1, 2 or more ethernet interfaces?
Does the Server use WAN IP directly, or does it have a LAN IP address
Does the server use IPv4 or IPv6 or Both ?

hi Paul, 1. Linux ,2.local VPS, 3.morethan 1 interface, 4.uses LAN IP Adress, 5 ipv.4

Regarding time, did you check if the server has the correct time/time zone defined? Do Test emails work?

It is only one interface supported by 3cx.

With multiple it would be down to whoever administers the server to make sure email goes out of the correct one that is bound to the FQDN/IP/Certificate.

i am now using one interface but still not okay

Revisiting after the interface change: IP shown on PBX Dashboard and FQDN IP are matching? Server time is correct?
