3CX upgrade and server swap

Hello,

Just after some advice in the best way to perform the following.

Client has server onsite but is currently running V15.5.1694.0. The hardware is also old on a Server 2012 setup.
Client as already purchased a new up to date licence and also want to move 3CX to a server they have spare.
I currently have that server at our workshops and will be installing Windows 10 Pro as the OS. I also have an up to date backup of the system.

What is the recommend way to get 3CX onto the new hardware and updated without causing issues to the live system. Ideally I would like to get the new server operational and updated then simply go to site and swap out the servers.

Hi @radcommuk,

You may find the guide on How to upgrade to v18 useful in regard to the process itself.

V15.5. is no longer supported and there would be no straightforward answer for this case, as it would much depend on the current status of the customers' license.
The customer can contact us directly and provide the details of both licenses in an email to [email protected]. We then can check and provide them with further guidance/options.
