Hi Team,
I thought i would share something with you which has helped me. This might not be the case for every "Server Error" but its something to look for.
Enviroment is
Linux install
3CX V15.5
Our customer had this problem today. We would try and login to the Management Console and got the above error. From here we logged in Via SSH and did a simple reboot of the server. This the same problem. We checked the status of the 3CX Management Console by using command
service "3CXPhoneSystemMC01 status -l" and the service could not start.
Next we had a look at the Hard Drive space. This is done with the "df" command in SSH. We got this
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/dm-0 25937788 25937788 0 100% /
udev 10240 0 10240 0% /dev
tmpfs 806528 8536 797992 2% /run
tmpfs 2016312 4 2016308 1% /dev/shm
tmpfs 5120 0 5120 0% /run/lock
tmpfs 2016312 0 2016312 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
/dev/sda2 241965 34187 195286 15% /boot
/dev/sda1 523248 132 523116 1% /boot/efi
The first line was the key for us. 100% usage. Next we had to delete something. We made the call to delete the recordings (this will only work if recordings are on) for one extension as we had a backup from last night.
To do this goto the recordings directory
"cd /var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Recordings/"
do a "dir" so you can see the extn numbers next goto a extn
"cd 108\" (108 is an example of a extension number)
Next is to delete the files within that folder. We used this command to delete everything in that folder
"rm -rf *"
Next reboot the server with the following command
"reboot"
This got the server up and running for us
