Hi guys,

I have a setup with two old cisco 7940 phones... all works great except voicemail access via the phone's key...

by defdault it was dialing *97 ... changed it to *4 in the phone's cfg file but nothing... *4 seems to work when i dial it manually..

I just gent a busy signal in both cases and a reorder message.

any ideas ?

Hi cmdias,

We replicated you issue and your settings look correct. Please make sure on the dial codes tab field "Connect to voicemail of extension " is *4 or *97. Also, please check on settings => voicemail => "Voice Mail Menu Extension Number" what extension number does the system use and try to call the voicemail directly. Next please make sure that the phone is provisioned with the correct xml.

great... changing the setting int the voice mailmenu back to *97 works!!!!!

I just dont know whe ehrn i had *4 at bothe palces (the phone config and in the voice mail menu setting) it didnt work.

but thank you!!!!
