Hello!
I went into the dashboard, and saw there was an update. I clicked it and then it logged me out. I logged back in and still saw the same Upgrade notice. I clicked it again, and again I was logged out.
I then tried to login as an admin (like I always do) but it states "Incorrect Username or Password".

I then clicked "Forgot Password". An email came in asking for me to update the password. I clicked the link and it brought me to the Change Password page. However, it had email address rather than the 'admin' login. I changed the password and it logged me in as a User, not admin!

This is the login page:
https://xxxxxxx.my3cx.ca/#/login

So, how can I get in as "admin"?
Help!

The one in the root of the zip:

<Group> <Members> <Member DN="100" IsPrimary="false"> <role name="system_owners"/> </Member> </Members>

So that's a user on the system. What password would I use? It's not accepting any of my passwords I set up for the system.

It'd be the web client password for x103.

Any chance that extension was left logged in (not explicitly logged out), in a browser somewhere?

None of them use the webapp. Just their phones and the occasional 3cx app on their mobile.

In V20 the management console is no longer available.
You need to access the Web Client with the System Owner and from the Admin section you can proceed with the configuration.

This is where I am stuck. When I login I see the webclient with my users. But what is the "admin section"? All I have is "Settings" which takes me to the settings of my extension.

If logged in to a webclient with a user who has a role assigned to them such as system owner then in the bottom left of the webclient you will see Admin (gear icon), above Apps. This is the admin console access button.

...then I am in troubles. The sysadmin who did this is not there anymore and my login has not the role assigned. How do I find out which email address has the role?

Earlier in this thread is a discussion of looking at a backup file, if you have access to one.

Otherwise, log in as each extension...?

Also ensure if your server had console (IP) restrictions that you're connecting from an allowed IP.

Do you have a backup of this system you can access, either via SSH or onto the machine terminal to download it? Or if you had backups stored remotely. You can open the backup zip file in the root of the backup file. There is an XML file; you can open it in Notepad ++ and search for the word "system_owners"

You will see which extensions are under the role section for which were set to the system owners.

Note: Email addresses need to be unique in v20 for the password reset email to be sent when requested.
