Hey there, I've been going through everything here and seen a few posts around this idea but many of them had not quite correctly identified the issue. Here is what is happening.
I use twilio as my outgoing trunk, therefore I want all traffic to be using PCMU/PCMA as that's all the support. This all works fine EXCEPT the web client on outgoing calls.
On incoming calls my server correctly selects PCMA/U and webclient sounds great. On outgoing the webclient defaults to OPUS which then causes transcoding and destroys my call quality.
Is there any way to force the web client to use PCMA/U?
I'm happy to deploy extensions, to do custom commands, anything. It would make a huge difference if I could change this codec
Alternative question - is there any way to stop my server from even SUPPORTING OPUS - eg if the web client calls and it didn't alllow transcoding of opus it would go down the list and eventually hit PCMA/U. Can I disable transcoding?
Thanks for you rhelp!
