3cx Webmeeting "An error occured while sending request to" - from which country is the request?

"An error occured while sending request to xx"

Found the problem, I'm using a country blocking feature in my firewall. I know 3cx does something against hackers but droping packages is even better.

I unblocked europe, its still not working (possible that the IP country list from Sophos is not 100% correct).

Can you give me information about where the request comes from?

I assume you mean which country it's being sent TO, not from. And as you said, the country list from Sophos may not be 100% correct so the best course of action would be to look at the logs on the device and see what it's reporting. Presumably if it's blocking something it should be telling you that it blocked something and why it blocked it. And if it's due to county blocking it should tell you what country.

Hello, the service tries to connect to my 3cx instance on Port 5001. Its difficult to know which one is the "good one" because there are so many connections (also from China).
I need the source IP / source country of the connection.

I allowed now every country, except China which works but its not the securest.

You could always just let 3CX do it's job and it will block known bad actors as well as white list webmeeting IPs automatically. But if you really wanted to manually play catch-up, especially with all the webmeeting changes they are making right now you could try compiling a list from the status.3cx.net page or the WEBMEETING_PARAMETERS value in the Parameters setting.

Thanks for the link, helped and now its working.
"You could always just let 3CX do it's job " there are many spelling errors in the software and other bugs (which is totally normal, I won't show our bug counter ), when it comes to security I trust only one person.
Starting with zero permissions is the only way I go.
