Hi,

My collegue is having trouble importing contacts from his Office 365 account since last week. This was working properly for at least a year and with no changes from our end it stopped working. The message he gets in his 3CX client is: The remote server returned an error (403). Forbidden. Screenshot is attached. His office 365 login is working properly and there are no restrictions set on Office 365. We tried different computer same issue. Other users with from same domain are not having this issue. Please help! Thanks.

Regards,
Damir

Has Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) been enabled in O365 for that user? If so, this will happen. The user will need to create a One Time Password to use for the 3CX for Windows app.

Today one of my clients has the same problem and I noticed the Office 365 plugin is no longer an option under integration. Any thoughts on why and when it will come back as this is an option my client uses.

We also have a user reporting this issue (403) forbidden when syncing Office 365 contacts.

User is reporting the same issue here. Any updates on fix for or if this a known issue?

Edit: Two factor authentication is not turned on in O365 for this user.

Hi all,

It looks like there's been a change in Microsoft's Office 365 APIs which has caused the Office 365 contact sync on the 3CX Windows Client to stop working.

To connect to Office 365 you need to configure Office 365 sync at server level and contacts will be synced via the web client. https://www.3cx.com/blog/docs/office-365-pbx-sync/

Webclient?? Where you import O365 Contacts? I have found import csv-files.
But I think there will be another import in webclient for O365. (V15.5 SP6)

This only works in the pro version. Is there a way to import contacts for each user individually?

Same Problem here.

That is only for version 16, which is still in Alpha. Any timeline yet on general release?

Also, is there any plan to support the new Microsoft API so this feature works again for v15.5 users?

Hi, thank you all for your replies. Would there be an update of 3CX app that will fix this issue without the need of enabling impersonation on O365?

This would be helpful to know for my end users as well; at the very least I can let them know if there is a fix timeline.

Any news on a possible fix ? Users without the Pro version can no longer sync contacts using the 3CX Phone Client. Major bummer.

We also have a client with a PRO license that can no longer sync with O365. 3CX V15SP6.
Following in case a solution is implemented.

That only works if you have full Exchange. There are a few steps you're unable to do if you have only Office 365.
