I was curious if 3CX Softphone and the chat feature keeps logs of the chats?


If so where does it keep the log. Local or server side?

Hi there,
Chat history are stored in database but there is no interface for the admin to read them, only the said extension can access them from its own 3CXPhone.

Which database and where? Is there a way to turn that feature off? Also is there anyway we can turn on a delete feature? Meaning after some what days the chat history is automatically deleted.

What is saved in the database (text or is it just a time stamp in the database)?
Once we delete the chat history on the 3CX MyPhone does it also get deleted on the database?

The main postgresql database on the PBX, stores timestamp, contacts, and texts, basically everything as displayed in chat history of each 3CXPhone.
You can't disable this archiving nor have auto delete but one can choose to delete his history at any time from his 3CXPhone / Chat / make selection of conversation(s) / click Delete icon

Is 3CX working on adding those features at anytime soon?
Meaning will they put in a feature where you can turn the archiving off for chat or any other feature build in?
