Our 3cx keeps going down every month or so and we have to restart the services.

This is the notification we receive -

The following service(s) were interrupted:

3CXPhoneSystem01

we have a third-party wallboard service installed on the server which could potentially be a cause, however, we have other systems running the same service completely fine.

I have set all services to restart automatically whenever they fail, but I need to stop this from happening at all.

Could anyone advise recommendations on how to troubleshoot this?

Any advice is appreciated.

The CPU usage is running low so there doesn't seem to be an issue there
Version 16.0.8.9 Professional
Windows Server 2016 4GB Ram -

Hi @Al3cX,

Right off the bat, and as you've pointed out: we have a third-party wallboard service installed on the server which could potentially be a cause, and it may but we'll come back to this.

Have you set up the machine according to our hardware requirements? https://www.3cx.com/docs/recommended-hardware-specifications-for-3cx/

Have you checked your system for any loops? Such as a queues that route back and forth to one another and neither have agents logged in? You can check for any of these strange situations by running a report as soon as this issue happens.

If there are no loop backs and the hardware specs are correct, I'd suggest uninstalling the 3rd party wallboard service which wouldn't be supported by 3CX. Check if the issue continues thereafter and update me when you've tested.

Hello,

Yes the system is set up to the hardware requirements.

Which report would you suggest running that could help us find this information?

We will do this as a last resort, however, the customer relies on this and it is working for other 3cx systems just fine so we want to leave this as a last resort

I have just taken a look, this system has no Queues and only uses a ring group without a final destination.

It doesn't look like there would be any looping issues

Hi @Al3cX,

Okay, you could run a standard call report to check when these drops happen next.

As a test, you can deactivate the 3rd party wallboard temporarily to see if it happens again. If it does not, reactivate it and see if it occurs again, and we'll be able to isolate what is causing the issue.
