Hi, I’m posting on behalf of a customer of mine.
They frequently run conference calls in the following way:
The v16 Windows Softphone worked as expected with 3CX Server V18. With Server V20, however, when clicking the Conference button during a client call, it dials the new party (Party C) and immediately merges everyone together — without allowing a private conversation first. Is this no longer possible in V20?
We also tested other clients — v20 Windows Softphone, PWA (Chrome/Edge), and WebClient — all with the same behavior.
My question:
How can this be done in V20? Is there a workaround, or is this a bug? This seems like a very basic feature that was available in V18 but no longer works in V20.
Environment:
Thanks,
Miriam
They frequently run conference calls in the following way:
- The agent (Party A) is on the phone with their client (Party B).
- Party B hears MoH, and the agent (Party A) calls the insurer (Party C).
- Only after that private conversation between agent (Party A) and insurer (Party C) are all three parties joined together (merge).
