Hello,

we are having problems updating from 18.0.5.418 to 18.0.6.908. The same problem appers as in this thread: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/3cx-database-upgrade-failed.118987/

I was wondering if it is possible to make a clone of the current virtual server and assign it a different ip address without interfering with the current server licence ?

We want to test manually updating database and than updating 3cx before trying it on production server.

An idea was to put 127.0.0.1 activation.3cx.com into /etc/hosts file?

Any help or suggestions are welcome.

Backup and restore is much faster than testing any stuff... Why is your version this old? Did you installed this 3cx in a supported way?

This is not supported, also since you are using an old version, please create a backup of your settings, save it out of the server, uninstall and reinstall using the last ISO file available in the partner/user portal, or if it is in the cloud go to my systems and deploy it as selfhosted or using the Hosted by 3CX to avoid these kind of issues in the future and keeping the system up to date.

During the installation process you can upload the backup file.
