403 Forbidden

I have a 3CX PBX and my FDQN does not work so I will use my public ip. I set my http port to 5000 and I put it after my public ip, I also port forwarded the port and I tried and I get 403 "Forbidden ngix"

Are you using a 3CX FQDN or a custom one? It will need to work for a secure connection.

Is the phone system hosted or is it located locally on the same network as you?

It’s hosted on premise it’s just I need to host it here and have a SBC remote and I need it to provision. I do have it on a windows server cause I knew this might happen but I don’t know how to configure the DNS

How many activated network cards do you have?

The 3CX service should be the only service running in its environment (server).
No DHCP or DNS server services should be installed on the same environment (server) as 3CX.

If you have multiple network cards, keep only one network card enabled.

As a note, if you plan on using Windows as host system for the 3CX, you will need an Enterprise license starting from v20.

I would recommend installing Hyper-V role and running 3CX on Linux in a VM, following these steps: https://www.3cx.com/docs/installing-microsoft-hyper-v/

Windows has many problems, first and foremost Windows Update, but also heavy RAM usage and must be an independent system, which means more licensing costs.

Linux installs have no requirements for any licensing other than a valid one (Pro or Enterprise.)
