Hi,

Can the echo test be done using the IP Phones like Cisco SPA 3XX models, or is it only for 3cx windows clients/webclients?

I tried dialing *777 from the IP phone and it shows dialing 7, and the message "number you are trying to reach does not exist".
I'm dialing from a remote extension.

Also, when the phone is off-hook, I'm not even able to complete dialing *777.
After * and 7, when I press 7 again it just clears everything and shows 7.

When I check the activity log, it shows "Target endpoint for *7 can not be built!"

Can someone please let me know what the issue here is?

Thank you.

Sounds like a dial plan issue. Was the phone factory reset and then provisioned via 3CX?

I had done a factory reset before provisioning it, but that was long ago.

I do have an outbound dial plan that starts with 7, but it is for numbers with length 9-13.

@cobaltit Also, there are no such issues when I dial *777 from 3cx client for windows.
It works fine, the issue is only when I dial from Cisco Phones.

There is a local dial plan in the phone. I would think the 3CX provisioning would put something appropriate in there.

You may want to try factory resetting your phones and then re-provisioning them (with the stock template). The 3CX template looks like it allows the echo test:

<!--# The "Dial_Plan_1_" field specifies which number combinations are allowed. Since 3CXPS takes all necessary routing decisions directly, the dialplan is set to "[x*]." to allow any sequence of keys to be dialed and sent to 3CXPS.--> <Dial_Plan_1_ group="Ext_1/Dial_Plan">[x*].</Dial_Plan_1_>

Ok, I will try that.
