911 to Extension -

Our University Police force is our PSAP/ 1st responders. I need to force 911 calls to an extension, not a trunk.
We use a foru (4) digit dialing plan and 3CX won't let me assign a three (3) digit number as an extension or call group.

You could probably do it using a loop trunk, back into 3CX, then to an extension or ring group.

1. create SIP trunk with 127.0.0.1:5060
2. create outbound rule for 911 for this trunk.
3. attach routing to desired desination

I wonder if you could update an extension with a SIP ID of 911 and whether 3CX would route to that extension rather than outbound to a trunk?

Extensions --> <my extension> --> Options --> Options --> SIP ID
