Hello,
I have multiple locations with one sip trunk running the system. We had someone dial 911 from one of the other locations. The police showed up at the main location. How do I set it up so they know based on a extension called to go to that location.

1. Create an emergency number
2. Create an emergency group for each location
3. Put the correct extensions in each group
4. Specify a DID for each group
5. Update your E911 location for each DID at your SIP provider

You may also wish to take a look at our 3CX Emergency Notifier tool for additional notification methods (phone, email, sms, and desktop alert), granular notifications based on location, and automatically changing group membership based on the IP address of the phone.

You didn’t mention who the trunk provider is. Some trunk providers do not allow multi-location E911 so you have to have multiple accounts with them to utilize the correct E911 address. Check with your SIP trunk provider for whether or not they handle this.
