Last week I received a bunch of emails saying "A trunk failover occurs or max amount of calls available through trunk has been exceeded". Body of message saying"

Device <caller number> dialed on (Anyline@providername) had no available outgoing trunk(s) for Call(from "<User extension>"<sip:123@voip.<domain>.ca>;tag=<serial number> to <caller number>)

Has anyone seen this issue happen before? There were no recent changes to our 3cx and when I checked the logs the extension had a number of outbound calls to different numbers that went unanswered and reason was no route existed. If anyone can shed some light that would be appreciated.

The email heading says it all

The sip trunk was not registered for some reason , or had issues connecting to the sip provider

The number of calls exceeded the amount allowed for the trunk. Have you restricted the amount of calls allowed >

No, there was no changes as far as I am aware, the max number of simultaneous calls is 8 ever since we implemented 3cx and this was in the very beginning of the work day. There shouldn't have been that many calls that came into a span of 5 minutes that I was received this myriad of emails.

8SC is your 3CX licence , not your sip trunk channels.

If you got this most probably this is because there's no more channels available on your trunk, so PBX send that email for you to increase sip channels.

You said it was in the morning, do you use Qs or IVR, calls can be stacked in using several channels
