On Hosted by 3CX, you cannot FTP in.Honestly, using an active socket, while it is a valid option, is a horrible idea. If your socket goes down for any reason the data will be lost and there is no way to recover the data. Active socket connections exist for legacy integration with reporting and hotel systems and should not (in my opinion) be used for anything else.
You can, however, use tools including filezilla to access and download CDR files from a hosted 3CX server. I'm sure there are plenty of commercial synchronization tools available for this purpose. However, you may also want to take a look at our 3CX Exporter tool.
With Exporter we parse the CDR files and replicate the data to a local SQL/MySQL database in real-time. The beauty of a file-based solution like Exporter is that if the service goes down for any reason, it will simply catch up where it left off once the service is started without the loss of any data.
Exporter addresses both the remote access issues AND the process of getting the data into a useable form (standards based SQL database). Once the data is in SQL, you can build whatever reports you need using the reporting tool you prefer (Power Bi, Crystal Reports, Excel, etc.).
However, you are not limited just to the CDR data. Exporter can also replicate all the data 3CX uses for their built-in reports. If you need queue statistics, detailed call information (not just the summary provided by CDR), queue log in/out information, chat logs, etc., that data is also available via Exporter replication.
Right, that is my issue. If it were local or I had it hosted on my own service it would be different and I would have CLI access. On Hosted by 3CX, you cannot FTP in.
Yes, and then you could use anything to export the CDR files instead of using a socket.Right, that is my issue. If it were local or I had it hosted on my own service it would be different and I would have CLI access.
