Add inbound call to existing conference?

I have what seems to be a simple request but I cannot figure it out for the life of me.

If a user creates an ad-hoc conference how do they allow external people to dial into it?

(Situation is that a project lead is expecting a number of executives to call in this afternoon for a project update and needs to incorporate probably 4-6 inbound calls into a conference call, but they are too important to receive and use a scheduled conference code to do so)

How I would expect it to work:
Have first call, click Conference in the 3CX client, then as additional people call in add them into the now running conference.

How it currently works:
First person calls in, click conference, and then all additional calls to that extension are separate and seem to be unable to be added. Tried with both the Windows client and the Web client.

For your specific case, its best to have them reach the receptionist, and the receptionist should set up a new conference and blind transfer the callers in.

For a more permanent solution, you can create a scheduled conference with a distant future date, this will keep the pin the same for a long time. Then you can have a specific DID they can dial which will automatically send them straight into that conference whenever they want to enter it

OoOOo, interesting! How would the receptionist transfer a call directly into a conference without needing to provide a pin?

PIN is only needed to create a conference.

The Conference Id is what the receptionist would use. And she would create the conference and know the ID - and the internal folks would Dial 700 as well and connect to that conference id.

Receptionist: Transfer them into 700 (7000) and then enter the Conference Id and end the transfer.
