Hello!

We have simple sip-phones with max 3 participants conferense (using internal phone conferences). But often we need to make 4-6 participants conferences. As far as I understand a normal way to make conference is using 007 extention.

Is there way to add to conference a new participant by for example adding some prefix when to call him?

For example. I call to participant A, and we desided to add participant B in our chat. I call 077*B and 3px call to B and add him to aour conference. Or I call to B in other line then enter *0777 code and participant B join to our (me and A) conversation.

It's not simple for every participant call to 007, enter number of conference, enter pin, say name. But it easy on soft clients: call somebody, push "Conference" button and that's it! No numbers, no codes, no names.

WBR,
Alexey

You could add the person to the phones conferencing feature if it has it which would then be heard by all parties - but there is no way to add a caller to the 3cx conference without them calling in to the extension or DID and enter the Pin.

Thanx for reply.

When I am calling from android 3cx client to somebody I can push a "Conference" button. Then I get line 2, call somebody else and add with "Conferense" button again. And after that all we have conference conversation, everybody hear each other. But nobody called conference extention or entered pin or said it name. Is it 3cx-server conference, not client (I see in logs that all connected to the conference extention)? How does it happend?

Hello @Alexey V

The 3CX clients use the conference extension of the PBX to host conference calls. They do not host the conference on the device so you can add as many participants as you want.
With IP phones this is not so simple as you will need to transfer the participants to the conference room. To transfer them without the need for them to enter a pin or name you need to transfer them to the conference room of your extension.
For example you are extension 000. You call a participant normally and when you want to add him to the conference you blind transfer him to 700**000. You then call the next participant and continue the same way. When you want to join you just need to dial 700**000.
