Permission denied.
Error code: 3
Error message from server: Permission denied

it look like i need the root password which i can't find anywhere

This is more of a Linux question than something specific to 3CX however anything I get issues with on Linux that I dont understand I often Google search and you will find someone who has had the same issue.

In regards to copying files however I would just use a USB key, copy the file to this, input it into the pi and mount then transfer the file.https://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2014/05/how-to-mount-a-usb-flash-disk-on-the-raspberry-pi/

Note: One thing I always say to 3CX users is that you should have Linux experience and knowledge before using any device that is running on this OS.

Hi @karta

As @eddv123 correctly pointed out, this is more of a Linux question.

One important detail however: the owner of the files must be "phonesystem" (also visible in WinSCP).

So when you do copy them, ensure that they inherit the same ownership and rights as the rest of the files that are already in the provisioning folder.
