Admin to make All Self ID Messages

is there anyway for an admin type to go through and make ALL Self ID messages for the dial by name directory? or am i going to have to

1. Dial into VM system
2. Enter Extension
3. Enter PW
4. Option 9
5. Self ID 5
6. Record Name
7. Save
8. Hangup
9. Goto next extension
10. repeat 1

You could have them record in audacity and save as self_id_prompt.wav then upload as a greeting per extension in the management console.

You would need a folder structure to save locally as 3CX looks for self_id_prompt.wav for the dial by name. I.E. make folder for each extension and save the recording in that folder.

I take it that "strongly suggesting" that employees do this themselves, has so far, not worked, for everyone.

Every day the service monitors extensions for missing Self IDs and will automatically create them for you using text-to-speech (Amazon Poly). As you have noted, this is not a one-time challenge, rather, this is an on-going challenge for Administrators as new staff come on-board. We can help!
