Administering though Google Chrome mobile

We found that administering through a mobile browser is not a really good experience.
Is there any work being done on this front? as this is quite a common task by now. I suppose a responsive design is needed.
Maybe someone can share some tips on how to be able to better use the management console through a mobile device.
