I discovered that once a queue manager logs an agent in or out by clicking on the little hyperlink in the call panel then the agent can no longer change their log in/out status using *62 / *63, those commands are ignored until I remove and re-add them in the Queue properties user list.
This behavior occurs consistently on hosted and on-prem systems v20 updates 4 and 5.
Is it supposed to be this way?
Shouldn't both a manager and an agent be able to change their queue status?

It is still possible to log an agent out of a single call queue. This option has been around for a long time.

This logout from this single queue remains until the agent logs in again to this single call queue.

This is independent of the agent's general login or logout from all of his call queues. If he is/was logged out of a single call queue in this way, then it remains.

The solution is for the call queue manager to log this agent back in to this one queue or for the agent to do it himself.

Alternatively, there is a call script that logs the agent in or out to all of his queues.

Thanks for your reply. Being a simple / single queue setup, I didn't make the connection that the manager log in/out is only for a single queue and the user *62 will not override being explicitly logged out of the single queue.
The call scripts get the job done perfectly though so thanks again!
