All prompt set languages added at upgrade to v20

We upgraded our self-hosted server from v18 update 9a to v20 update 1 last night.

I noticed our backup size increased about 170%, or 130 MB overnight. Comparing files there is a new "ivrprompts" folder with what looks like 18 languages.

Last night after the upgrade I had noticed that all languages were showing as updates. I did not install those because we had not installed any additional languages in v18. Today it looks like all languages are installed? There are no pending updates, and Manage Prompt Sets shows all languages. And I can't seem to find a place to download additional languages.

Automatic updates were off.

Is there a way to remove languages/prompt sets? Are they all "required" to be installed now?

If you login to the server with SSH you can remove the folders of the prompt set at "/var/lib/3cxpbx/Instance1/Data/Ivr/Prompts/Sets". At the update page it will show to install them.

Looking at it "in the daylight" there is a Delete button in the Manage Prompts dialog box so that was easy. On disk some are labeled with a partial name...US English is apparently "8210986B..."

Still unclear how they were all installed though, since up to now they were all optional, and I wouldn't install one let alone accidentally select 18 of them.

You can indeed, but they will show up again in the updates page....

I got the same scenario as you got, the pending languages updates were there and a while after they vanished from update and were all installed without having asked for.

You can indeed, but they will show up again in the updates page....

Sorry I am confused...are you saying they will always auto install unless the folders on disk are manually deleted?

No,
If you delete the folder or delete it in the Manage Prompts settings. It will show again in the updates page. I guess it will be installed again with auto updates (Haven't tested it yet).

OK yes it does offer to update/install again. Auto updates are off currently. I did turn updates on after the install to pull any security updates, though I would think if it installed 20u1 it pulled those as well.

But, auto updates have not pulled down prompt sets before.

I mean, it's not a huge deal, but does raise the backup size 130 MB/day, and seems more like a bug.

They should make it like v18. Much better. Only Install the languages that you need. Or rather only add the languages that you use to the backup.

Can somebody make a feature request for this?

The server reinstalled all the system prompt languages on its own, even with auto updates disabled.

Edit: still shows "Last updated: Yesterday, 10:23 AM" which was before the prompt installation.
