Hi,

Is there a way to allow callers into a queue if no agents are active? There doesn't seem to be a work around for this within the GUI, can this be done with a custom voice application?

You can setup a dummy extension and keep it logged into the queue. You will need to register the extension on a mobile device at least once so that it shows registered and then you can remove it from the device.

Hmm okay. Any idea if that carries over during reboots though?

I've seen the dummy extension suggested by team members before without the added note of it not working through a reboot. I don't see why it wouldn't but I have not tested that myself, and unfortunately I won't be at the office past closing to try it this afternoon. If you get a chance before me I'd love to hear your results.

Update! Found an easy workaround to setup a dummy extension.

In extensions just manually set the extension status to available and queues status to logged in. Next set the extension to "ring my mobile simultaneously", then just set the mobile number to "1".

Calls queues up fine now but the abandoned call number goes up pretty quickly. Anyone have any ideas if this number becomes huge, will it cause an problems?

It will if you depend on the stat. If you don't then don't worry about it. There's a setting in the queue to reset stats at a certain interval as well.
