Allow users to control phone ringtone?

Hi Community,

I'm sorry if this has already been asked - all of my searches lead back to either provisioning issues and/or webclient ringtone.

Is there a way through 3cx with Yealink phones to allow the users to set their own ringtones on the handsets, and not have it reprovision with 3CX?

I would still like to keep provisionning (if the user for example changes some BLF keys from the webclient, etc.) but I would like it to essentially ignore the ringtones that 3CX has set (or just have the option to not set any in 3CX) or maybe even give the user access to their ringtone settings in the webclient somehow.

Hey DustinL,

currently the only way I can think of is if you create a custom template for said phone and not include the ringtones. That way they wont be provisioned and the local settings of the phone should not be overwritten.
This obviously comes with more work, as you have to check your template(s) after each update..
