I do travel a lot and while traveling I want to call using my home analogue line. The Idea is to connect to a device in home network using internet from another country, and this device should enable me to use my home analogue line to make phone calls.

I did some research and my finding is to use SIP Server (3CX) and FXO Gateway.

Is that right ? if yes which hardware do you recommend ? I’m asking because I don’t want to buy stuff and end up finding that they don’t work.

Sorry for my bad technical explanation, I’m IT specialist but I have limited knowledge of VOIP.

Hi,

I am using Grandstream 2010 sip phones along with a Grandstream 4104 fxo gateway with 4 pstn lines attached for about 6 months. NO problems with egress or access so far.
