Hello,

I am seeing an issue with the 3CX Android app where Team, Contacts, and Voicemail load forever on two different Android phones / extensions.

What works normally:

  • Calls
  • Provisioning
  • SIP tunnel
  • Call history
  • Web Client
What fails:

  • Android app foreground use still hangs on Team, Contacts, and Voicemail
  • The issue happens on both Wi-Fi and mobile data
  • The issue happens on two separate Android phones
PBX environment:

  • 3CX version: 20.0.9.995
  • Repository channel: production candidate
  • Deployment: on-premise / self-managed
  • License: BASIC Edition, 4 SC
Android app environment:

  • Android app: 20.7.0.5
  • At least one affected phone is on Android 17 / API 37
What I already tried:

  • Reprovisioned both extensions
  • Removed and re-added the account on the phones
  • Updated the Android app from Play Store and retested
  • Disabled battery optimization
  • Enabled background data
  • Restarted 3CX services, including Management Console, System Server, and Call Flow services
  • Tested on both Wi-Fi and mobile data
Verbose log details:

  • Authentication succeeds
  • MyPhone session creation succeeds
  • Then the app repeatedly logs onNotificationStreamFailure (SocketTimeoutException) - timeout
  • After that it logs stream fail, relogin
Because the issue happens in foreground use, on multiple devices, and on both Wi-Fi and mobile data, it does not look like a background push or battery optimization problem. It also does not seem related to SIP registration, call history, or the Web Client.

If anyone has seen this before, I would appreciate guidance on whether this is a known Android app / MyPhone stream issue for 20.7.0.5 with PBX 20.0.9.995, and whether there is a supported production fix or update.

Thank you.

Hi thanks for your feedback.
Could you kindly send us verbose logs of the issue?

Hamburger Menu > Settings > Advanced
Scroll all the way to the end and enable Verbose logs
Reproduce the issue and send us the logs
Hamburger Menu > Settings > Advanced
Scroll all the way to the end and tap on send log report.

Please attach me these logs via Personal message. You would probably need to upload the logs at your preferred cloud storage provider and send me the shareable link.

Thanks
