Solved Android App stuck on Authenticating

Hello,

I am using 3CX Pro v18.0 Update 2 (Build 314) and Android 3CX Video Conference App v10.7.17.158 on Android 11.

Until a few months ago video conferences were working fine without any issues for over a year. But this week I tried a video conference and all Android users were unable to get into the meeting. They all got stuck at "Authenticating". After entering the Meeting-Link into the app the conference name is shown correctly.
When the conference hasn't started yet it shows that. But joining an active conference is totally impossible. On PC with any browser it works just fine.

The firewall checker shows all green and all the firewall settings are definitely correct. It has worked before and I double checked. I even tried turning the firewall completely off. It was still broken.
Restarting apps, phones, the 3CX server, ... all didn't do anything.
I'm really frustrated as there is no explaination on why it suddenly breaks. It looks like the server got permanently destroyed in an update and needs to be reinstalled.

If anyone has any idea I would be thankful for help.

Hi Felix,

I just tried this but it doesn't seem to happen in my case, could you please create a meeting on your 3CX System, check with one of your devices that the link you use has the issue, them send me the link in a PM so I can check as well on our end?

Hi Nick,

after multiple test meetings yesterday I wasn't able to get a single meeting to work.
My server apparently saw your post as a threat and started to work again. I am not able to reproduce the issue which we had for 3 days anymore.
In case the issure re-occurs I will come back to this thread and inform you.

Hopefully we managed to scare it enough to not do it again...
