Hi,

Just a general question really on how to make the 3cx app any more reliable. Been using it for a couple of months now and it's a bit of a hit or a miss to be honest. Certainly can't be relied upon. Is there anything you can configure to make it more reliable?

Hello @Scott EIT

What is the issue you are experiencing with the Android client exactly? Are you referring to PUSH?

Just doesn't seem very reliable. Works sometimes and not others. Say's "waiting for network" frequently. I normally kill the app and start it up again and it works after that. it's no good if I keep missing calls though.

Thanks Yiannis. I've registered for the Beta program and it says the app will update itself as I've already got it installed. Is there any way I can tell when the app has been automatically updated?

Sure, you can check the version under Settings / About. The new Beta client is 16.0.0.21

Looks like it's updated. We'll see how things go...

I have the android app installed on my HP Chromebook. Unfortunately, I'm not able to scan the printed QR code to configure it. The QR code works for other apps that use the webcam though so it doesn't appear to be a hardware issue.

Also, the app was just updated on the beta tester version.

Thanks,

Ed

Send yourself the welcome email, then open the config file in 3CX. That's how I do it.

I tried downloading the file but when clicked it doesn't run. It just opens the code in a text file?.

You need to tell it to open in 3CX. Using the share sheet.

3CX doesn't show in share options other than my Slack app.

Enabled what?
