Hi all,

i followed this guide to configure push in 3cx version 15.5 but it is not wake up my 3cx client when there is an incoming call.
i need to open the app in the background to receive the call.
https://www.3cx.com/docs/

could anyone tell me what wrong with this?

Hi Saqqara,

thanks you for your comment, if i use blank out server key and sender id ( using 3cx account) also not working. if i use the default do i still need to open the port 443?

Port 443 is used by Google Push service, does not matter if own or 3CX push account

Have you enabled 'Enable PUSH for smartphones' for the extension.

Within Management console, Extension - Edit the Extension - Phone Provisioning , select 3CX Client as the phone

Please note that after you change the key for Push you need to send a new welcome email to the Android clients. The new welcome email is required fro Push to work. So start by using the 3CX account to test the Push. Send a new welcome email to an android device and re-provision the client. If that works try your key and send a new welcome email.

Yes, i sent new welcome email to the client already but still not wake it up.

With both the 3CX account and your own account? What device are you using? Make sure that notifications are allowed on the device for the 3CX app and that the app is excluded from any battery optimisation settings.

I had a similar problem.
https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/no-push-at-all-with-android-client-v15-5-342-392.56829/
It worked finally after deleting the google project, accepting new google rules, creating a new project.
dont know if this helps in this case, but give it a try.
Hi,
thanks you for your comment.
i have tried with fews gmail to create the project and copy paste to my 3cx server but still not work.
i checked in the dailer.log saw "GCM response: OK OK" seem it work but actually it didn't.

Have you tried multiple devices or is the issue only with a specific device?

I see this thread is a few months old, but I have the same issue. I have the Google Push account set up in accordance with the how to.

Samsung S8 running latest version of the 3CX app. 3CX server is up to date and running Enterprise license.

To use 3CX on my cell, I need to unlock the screen and manually run the 3CX program. It shows "Waiting for Network" then "On hook" almost immediately. At that point, I can use the phone to send or receive calls. If the screen locks the 3CX app goes offline and does not wake up automatically on an incoming call.

When I unlock the phone, I see the missed call alerts.

do you use a samsung cover for your phone?
On the Note8, if I close the (samsung branded) cover, an incoming call via 3cx will never ring. A gsm call will. If I open the cover again, the call will ring.

I think the developers forgot to give the app the ability to draw over other apps. As soon as the samsung lockscren with the clock appears the 3cx nofitications will be muted and wont be seen. The only thing I notice is a short flicker of the clock when a call comes in.

Hi nobody,

No cover. I get cell calls no problem, but 3CX calls do not ring unless I have the phone unlocked. As soon as the screen locks, the 3CX client drops off the network until I unlock it.

One of the main selling points we used on the execs for this project was the ability to use 3CX on their phones anywhere. If we can't get this working it's going to make us look like amateurs.

It might be unrelated to the cover, the cover only activates the lock immediately, I think as soon as the samsung always on clock appears on the screen calls won't get through.

Hello @Shadragon

Do you devices that do work with Push or do you have the issue with other devices as well? If the issue is only with the Samsung device then i would recommend checking the notification settings on the device and exclude the app from any battery optimisation settings to make sure nothing is blocking the Push notification.

still not work for me. even use own account or 3cx account :-(

We have a Samsung S6 with the same symptoms. When screen is locked there are no calls. Notifications are on for the app on both phones. We don't have a lot of installed apps as we are just starting to roll 3cx out.

The issue solved.
After create our own push account. Uninstalled and reinstalled 3CX adroid client and reprovision the account.

Try using the 3CX Push account and see if that solves your issue. Make a note of your Push credentials and then delete them from the management console. Once you save the settings the PBX should default back to the 3CX Push account. Restart all services and send a new welcome email to the affected devices. Try and let us know if that works
