We're currently trying to win a client. Currently when someone dials a DID there is an announcement that all calls are recorded, and then the extension is called and connected.

I could do this by making a digital receptionist for each and every DID, however there are almost 100 DID's that I wold have to do this for which makes this somewhat unmanageable.

Is there any other way to do this?

Call flow designer is completely new to me. I may need a bit of an explanation on how to approach on this one

CFD requires Pro or Enterprise License

Licensing wont be a problem.

Thanks YiannisH - I might end up having to be walked through it, or shown a working example, but I'll have a go at it and then attack it from there

Just a heads up. I believe if you go the CFD route, after your "call is being recorded" message is played, the user will then hear your system MOH until the user answers or call is deposited to voicemail as opposed to hearing a standard ring back tone.
Some users don't mind this but some do.

That's really helpful to know and I'm almost certain the customer is not going to like that at all. Sounds like I'm going to have to make digital receptionists for everyone. Also looks like if I go the CFD route I might have to add the DID everytime they buy them. That's a lot of work if they buy another 100 DIDs

Hate to burst your bubble but if you use a digital receptionist to play the sound file and then transfer, you'll still have the MOH played instead of the ringback sound.

I think that the only way to play a sound file and then transfer to an extension without the system level MOH being played would be to use Queues. In the Queue extension you can specify the MOH for that queue and can set it to progress tone.
This isn't a great solution because users may not understand why a queue is in use and log out from time to time which then stops DID calls from getting through to them.

Exactly my fear and with this being a 'smaller business'... not a really easy way of doing it. I am, fortunately, in a one party state and this business is only operating in a one party state (to my knowledge) - However, I have businesses in two party states so we might be forced to implement the call queue idea
