Answer Call Automatically then Send DTMF to Open a Door (Intratone)

Hello Guys,

I have a request.

Is it possible today with Version 20.0 Update 5 (Build 551 Release) 3CX to do the following.

I have a client who has a Doorphone. (Intratone)

He wants the configuration to be as below.

When someone call for Example DID : 0123456789. 3CX answer the call automatically and right After it send a DTMF Code For example *02 to open the door.
All that without any external application or device.

I want to have a clear answer if possible or not


Now if i do the following will it be working

I send the DID to call an IVR and if no input then it send to an external number and i put the Code *20

Not possible. You cannot send DTMF programmatically. You could try a CFD with in-band audio DTMF but it may not work. It depends on the device.

I suggest that you look at the documentation for your door lock. In EVERY case where I have needed to do this there was either a proprietary networking protocol or web API I could use to send a command to the door rather than trying to use DTMF. Even if you cannot call the function directly from the CFD, you certainly could call a web API you create that can make the necessary call. I am very confident you can do this without using DTMF.

For security reasons, things don't normally work in this manner, a human is usually involved to confirm who is attempting to enter.
