Antivirus on Debian 3CX ISO

Is it possible to install antivirus like clamAV or MDE on 3cx debian based server? Which files/paths should be excluded?

Also what will happen if I obtain info about important 3cx files to exclude from scans and still go ahead and install it?

You can do whatever you want, of course, but running a virus scanner directly on a VoIP system is never a good idea. 3CX’s policy is that nothing should be installed on the PBX; if you do so anyway, it is unsupported, and you lose your entitlement to support from 3CX. Aside from that, I still don't understand what purpose a virus scanner would serve on a PBX.

@caccamo, for compliance requirements, I'd recommend using the built-in Remote Syslog feature instead of installing third-party antivirus software on the 3CX server. It allows you to forward operational, security, and audit logs to an external Syslog/SIEM platform for centralized monitoring.
