Hi everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has gotten sms text messaging to work with Anveo Direct? I'm unable to test this out since we have the free license. I would consider upgrading to the professional version if text messages work with our carrier. We were planning on using the 3cx softphones for the messages. Btw. do the soft phones have push notification of text messages?

Thank you,

Are there comparable carriers to Anveo we could use?
Tbh, we've been really happy with them, their rates have been great.

If you need SMS, right now there is Telnyx, Twilio and Flowroute. All great providers (thus why they are the firsts.)

For voice, there's a ton of them.

We use Telnyx for the good rates, easy web portal and LOTS of features and settings.

I assume Twilio and Telnyx can handle the audio and sms of the DIDs we have if we ported the DIDs to them completely.
Telnyx seems to be a little more expensive than Anveo https://telnyx.com/pricing/elastic-sip

Yes, they handle voice perfectly.

You gotta ask yourself: are the small savings with Anveo worth the mess of configuration and porting only SMS and stuff? I don't think so...

I talked to a Telnyx rep this morning, they are offering form now until the end of 2020, $1.00 credit for each DID you port in, as well as $10 for just signing up.

I tried ordering a did with them but they don't have anything available in the 818 area code we need...

It's interesting how the rates are drastically different from Anveo. For those making thousands of hours of calls, it could make a big difference. I made a test call today and the rate was 0.00028 with Anveo. With Telnyx it would be 0.005

You will then have to make a choice: either use 3CX SMS with Telnyx/Twilio/Flowroute OR stick to Anveo to save money.

Money > SMS?
