Hello,
I would like to initiate a calls to 3CX from my web based CRM.

I'm struggling to find any documentation for a 3CX restful API. The support forums show multiple posts advising one is coming back in 2021.

Does one exist? If so could you let me know where i can find the documentation?

Please note that there is no available API to initiate call from the CRM.
As solution in your case could be also to use the 3CX Click2Call that is installed on your browser(Chrome,Edge) and make the numbers from the CRM as clickable url to send calls to the 3CX Desktop App or WebClient. @VoIPTools has a Relay thing that, without a license, can be used to do MakeCall.
