is there any problem with letting the call log grow? i'm at about 20,000 which might be a lot to some and a days worth to others but i'm wondering if i should at some point use the purge button in the dashboard.

I don't think so, I have a client that has 2,012,471 calls, at this time. However backup and restore does take a while to complete

Thank you for replying. Looks like we have a bit to go before I would be worrying about purging.

At the pace that we get calls, by the time we get to 2 million , hopefully, I'll be somewhere fishing with my grand kids and not worrying about calls anymore ;)

Do you need to look at call logs ? If no, then you can delete them

Do you have a company requirement to look at calls going back past a certain date ? - If no, then you can safety deleted them

As above, the more info in the call logs - the longer the backups takes and the reverse , restores will take the same time

The button on the dashboard will clear all call logs, to delete a certain period you do this via Call Reports -> Settings tab

The client I mentioned is a high volume call center, they want to keep this data for reports, as for as backup and restore both are done nightly, backup from primary server restore on secondary server. And yes I know I can remove this data.
