I tried to set up another installation on a VM but it used the same FQDN as the installation on Google Cloud. The Google installation can still be reached by using the static IP address assigned when I first installed it but the FQDN is pointing to a different address. How can I re-associate the Google address?

I've read in a few places that I might have to re-install but I am a complete newbie and cannot find out how to do that either. I have made a backup.

This is a brand new installation so I wouldn't mind re-installing, if that's the easiest way, but I don't know where to go to re-install it.

Hi

Shut down the instance you are not using, and in your live instance change the IP Address Setting from your dashboard to: Dynamic Public IP (IP changes)

Restart your services and the FQDN will update to the new IP address within about 6 hours.

To update the IP associated with the FQDN:
Go to Settings > Network
Ensure the correct network card interface is selected (it should show your IP address)
Under External IP Configuration, switch the radio button to Dynamic Public IP, click OK, and restart services.
Then go back to Settings > Network and switch External IP Configuration back to Static Public IP, click OK, and restart services.
Give it a couple minutes and it should update.

Okay. I've done that but I didn't wait long enough.

Okay...it's starting to propagate.

When done, you can swap back to Static mode

This is my first post. How do I close it or say it has been answered
