Did something change? Trying to add a FXS HT 812 to the free SMB but now requiring a SBC? I had previously been able to connect directly without a SBC

It seems that i have another cloud SMB that has the ability for Network Interface yet the new one does not have that which only now consists of a routing device.

The SBC is mandatory for SMB, you cannot add any phones without it.


The "Connect directly" option was ever only active for router phones, and the "Local" option does not apply or work for SMB because phones are always remote. If you want to set it up in an unsupported manner (which we do not recommend) you can do it by manually configuring your device.
