Interesting..... I never look at these options like you wrote....
For me it was always like this:
This is 3CX default settings (enabled). If you need to "overcome compatibility issues with old/incompatible phones" then you can disable them...

Anyway, I think the best way for us (3CX customers) is to keep the 3CX default settings and change them only when we really need it.
