Attention 3CX Live Chat WordPress Plugin Users

With the launch of 3CX StartUP we’ve revamped our 3CX WordPress plugin. Unfortunately this plugin is not compatible with 3CX V18 Update 3. So if you are using live chat, we ask that you temporarily disable auto updates until we release 3CX v18 Update 4. Update 4 will be compatible with the new plugin.

Auto-updates are disabled... however, the plugin has been completely reset and is the new stupid StartUp version (also, StartUp seems like an incredible waste of engineering resource but that's another topic).


3CX pushed Live Chat like it was the most amazing thing in the world and we should all be using it, and then you go and break it completely all for the sake of driving more customers direct to 3CX rather than via your resellers that have built your business.

Just to update.. found out this client had some scripts running outside of Wordpress to run updates, hence it now being on v10.

But what a ridiculous issue to have. Why on earth release an update to a plugin that breaks it for the vast majority (if not 100%) of its users. Surely a better course of action would have been to list the new 'StartUp' live chat under it's own thing on the plugin store so it doesn't break things for everyone else.

Do we have an idea on when Update 4 will be released so that this issue can be resolved and the plugin updated successfully? I haven't seen anything since the OP, so forgive me if I missed it.

V18 U4 Beta was released on Friday, hopefully the final release isn't too far out!
